HEAD CHEF

Indian restaurant-New Opening

We are looking for a talented Head Chef with excellent experience of North Indian cuisine for a new 70-cover, casual fine dining, restaurant opening soon. Menus showcase the best of Punjabi & Tandoori dishes, Karahi and open fire cooking with the focus on strong flavours and innovative presentation. There is dining on 2 floors and a private dining room, service is relaxed but professional and the restaurant offers a full take-away service too.

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running or the kitchen including:

  • Managing and training the kitchen team
  • All food prep & cooking, stock management & wastage
  • Quality assurance
  • The kitchen budget & G.P.
  • Health, Safety and Food Hygiene
  • Compliance with statutory regulations and legislation
  • Maintaining a 5* food hygiene rating
  • Managing all delivery orders within the company time frame

Required skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of North Indian cuisine
  • Passion and enthusiasm for food and quality,
  • Good kitchen management experience
  • Creative flair & attention to detail
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Meticulous, organised and punctual
  • Fluent English

Our ideal candidate with be an enthusiastic customer focused chef with excellent cook to order experience, strong kitchen management and a love of authentic Indian food capable of running a happy and efficient kitchen and meeting company targets.

Salary: Up to £50,000 + service charge

5-day week, straight shifts, closed Mondays.
