Astute's Power Team is partnering with a company who provide maintenance solutions and technical support to large process plants including Power Stations, CHP Plants, Petrochemical and Aggregate Production Facilities to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to identify business opportunities within the market.

Responsibilities and duties of the Technical Sales Manager role
Reporting to the Mechanical/ Electrical Directors, you will be responsible for:

  • Strengthening the company's relationships with existing customers by understanding their requirements to position our services to meet those requirements
  • Developing new business opportunities, extending the client base and producing new business growth
  • Making presentations to promote new products and services
  • Compiling quotations and sales specifications.
  • Working closely with the management team to review and refine the sales strategy in light of market intelligence
  • Advising on after-sales service
  • Carrying out competitor analysis and understanding their products and services
  • Development and delivery of a Sales Strategy


Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Proven background in Sales / Business Development Environment
  • Power Generation / Engineering experience


Personal skills
The Technical Sales Manager role would suit someone who has:

  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Knowledge of sales pipeline development, comes with a strategy to open doors
  • Sales pipeline management
  • Must be able to use IT proficiently (Microsoft suite) to ensure sales administration process is completed efficiently
