Are you an experienced Fire and Security Systems Engineer looking to join a growing and dynamic team? We are currently seeking a dedicated Mobile Fire and Security Systems Engineer to support our expanding client base across the UK. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, maintenance, and servicing of a wide range of fire detection and security systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites.
Main Responsibilities

Install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable)

Install and maintain intruder alarm systems

Work with both IP and analogue CCTV systems

Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs

Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and industry standards (BS 5839, BS 7671)

Accurately complete all job documentation and service reports

Participate in an on-call rota for emergency call-outs

Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and provide excellent customer service

Attend regular training to stay current with new technologies and standards

Care for and maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle
Person Requirements
Essential:
-
Proven experience in a similar role within the fire and security industry

Strong knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems

Understanding of British Standards (BS 5839, BS 5266)

Full UK driving licence

Ability to travel and work independently across various locations

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Legal right to work in the UK

Willingness to undergo a background check
Desirable:

Industry certifications (FIA, City & Guilds, ECS/CSCS card)

Familiarity with equipment from Eaton, Texecom, Hikvision, Paxton, Kentec

Experience working to NSI or BAFE standards

Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays for project requirements
