Job Description


Our client are a leader in the telecommunications industry and they are looking for a Hardware Electronics Test Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract working in a hybrid way out of their office in Brentwood.


Responsibilities:


  • Take ownership of the team's hardware testing and also produce test reports including some at external test houses
  • Optimises their scripts and test tools to help improve their overall efficiency
  • Provide support to their Design and Development teams on their product testing and evaluation and also recommend any further investigations when required
  • Create and own development of test plans for any of our client's new technologies or products

Experience:


  • An engineering mindset with eagerness to learn new skills
  • Work with electronics test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Digital multimeters, and spectrum analysers)
  • A background in electronics
  • An understanding of compliance standards (EMC, Radio, Safety)
  • The ability to use test and validation methodologies with scripts to test hardware and/or systems and platforms
  • Be able to sort and present test data to showcase the outcomes of tests
  • The ability to work with developers to design test cases for new products/technology (not essential)
  • Experience in summarising technical information with varying levels of detail, and being able to change this depending on your audience (not essential)
  • Experience managing a test workstack (not essential)
  • Experience coding and scripting in Python (not essential)
