Our client is seeking a talented Senior Estimator to join a leading main contractor in Brentwood, specializing in Decent Homes and Retrofit projects up to £5 million in value.

The Role:

As a Senior Estimator, you will be a key part of the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for refurbishment projects. This role offers a mix of office-based work in Brentwood with some flexibility to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing cost estimates for Decent Homes and Retrofit projects
  • Managing the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission
  • Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
  • Assessing risks and opportunities within each bid
  • Working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

What They’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
  • Strong knowledge of Decent Homes, Planned Maintenance, and Retrofit projects
  • Ability to price projects up to £5 million
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
  • A team player with a keen eye for detail
