JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Case Manager to join our dynamic team specializing in bridging, refurbishment, and development funding schemes across England and Wales.
The successful candidate will manage and oversee loan applications, ensuring a smooth process from inception to redemption.
This role requires a background in finance, excellent communication skills, and at least a basic understanding of underwriting loan applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
LOAN APPLICATION MANAGEMENT
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end process of loan applications.
- Liaise with brokers, borrowers, solicitors, and surveyors to ensure timely progression of cases.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all applications.
- Effectively manage and prioritise a pipeline of applications.
CLIENT COMMUNICATION
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and all stakeholders.
- Provide clear updates and resolve queries promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all parties involved.
UNDERWRITING SUPPORT
- Conduct initial reviews of loan applications to ensure compliance with company policies, criteria and overall risk appetite.
- Assist with basic underwriting tasks, such as assessing documentation, reviewing reports and identifying potential risks.
- Preparation of concise and comprehensive credit papers for formal underwriting decisions.
- Looking for a candidate to demonstrate skills to be able to earn own mandate for decision making.
COMPLIANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT
- Ensure all loan applications adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
- Identify and escalate potential issues or discrepancies in applications.
TEAM COLLABORATION
- Work closely with internal teams, including Credit Manager and Operations Manager along with senior management, to ensure efficient case progression.
- Provide support and input to improve internal processes
REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A background in finance is essential, with experience in lending or a similar role preferred.
- Basic understanding of loan underwriting processes.
- Knowledge of bridging, refurbishment, and development finance is advantageous.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize workload.
- Able to critically analyse information and confidently justify decisions.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
