Title: Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Days Shifts)

Location: Brentwood, Essex

Shifts: Monday - Friday, Double Days (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm)

Salary: Circa £48,000 - £50,000 + Overtime (x1.5/x2) + Annual Bonus + Contributory Pensions + Industry Training + 33 Days Holidays

The Role:

My client is an international pharmaceutical manufacturer that is seeking a senior multi-skilled maintenance engineer with experience within a FMCG manufacturing industry or similar work environment to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

The work the company does can be very rewarding and the team are passionate about building life saving equipment. Although pharmaceutical specific experience is not required, you must be willing to train on their unique equipment, complete all health and safety, drugs regulation and compliance checks and paperwork and assist with setting up new equipment in what is an ever changing industry with constant new developments around the globe.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to reduce plant failures and implement prevention strategies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and minimize variation.
  • Coordinate with other departments to provide specialized support as needed.
  • Attend to breakdowns promptly and to ensure daily schedule adherence.
  • Contribute to investigations for incidents/deviations to aid in root cause analysis.
  • Complete and regularly review Risk Assessments for your area, ensuring timely implementation of actions.
  • Ensure safe performance of job tasks while complying with EHS requirements, policies, and programs.

Requirements:

  • Several years experience working within a FMCG environment, preferably a regulated clean environment.
  • Knowledge of pumps, motors and mechanical drives, electrical drives and basic electric diagnostics
  • Have completed an onsite apprenticeship or hold a level a NVQ or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must be a team player and willing to fit in with the family style ethos of the maintenance engineer team.
  • Competent fault finding and repairing on a range of machinery including electrical equipment.
  • Be enthusiastic and have a genuine interest in developing within the pharmaceutical industry.
