Freelance Site Manager - Traditional Build - Brentwood
Location: Brentwood, Essex
Project: 130 units - mix of houses and flats (traditional build)
Position: Site Manager (internals and externals)
Rate: Competitive day rate
A reputable main contractor is delivering a 130-unit traditional build residential scheme in Brentwood. They are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team and take ownership of both internal and external elements of the project.
Key responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day site operations in line with programme requirements
Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and trades for internals and externals
Monitor and maintain health and safety standards on site
Ensure quality control and timely delivery across all stages
Liaise with the project manager and wider team to report progress and resolve any site issues
Requirements:
Proven experience on traditional build residential projects
Strong knowledge of both internal finishes and external packages
Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid
Strong communication and leadership skills
Able to work under CIS or umbrella
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing freelance role
