About the School

This school offers a comprehensive curriculum for students aged 11-18, encompassing Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSEs and A-levels. This School provides a well-rounded education that prepares students for a variety of pathways after graduation, including university, apprenticeships, and employment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with SEN students, offering individualised and small group support to facilitate their access to the curriculum
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in adapting teaching materials to engage and support all students, using a variety of methods and resources
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment where every student can actively participate and succeed
  • Use your expertise in positive behaviour support to create a calm and consistent learning environment to address challenging behaviours effectively

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience supporting students with special educational needs in a UK school setting is essential
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Have a valid Enhanced DBS disclosure for children on the Update Service
  • Understanding of positive behaviour strategies and the ability to support students in managing their emotions and actions
