About the Role:
As Head of Year 5, you will:
- Lead and manage the Year 5 team to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
- Be responsible for raising attainment and supporting the holistic development of pupils
- Coordinate planning and assessment across the year group
- Act as a key member of the middle leadership team, contributing to whole-school improvement
- Work closely with SLT to drive high standards and ensure consistency across the curriculum
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner with KS2 experience (Year 5 experience ideal)
- Has strong leadership skills or is ready to step into a leadership role
- Can inspire and support colleagues through coaching, collaboration, and clear communication
- Is committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential
- Has a sound understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and assessment expectations
