As the Technical Shop Floor Support (Production Engineer), you will play a crucial role in supporting the production team and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities of the Technical Shop Floor Support (Production Engineer):
- Accompany the production team and provide technical support in identifying, analysing, and solving complex issues on the shop floor.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and help achieve the company's Operational Excellence targets.
- Assist in the management of disruptions, including supporting the identification and resolution of non-conformities.
- Collaborate with various teams, such as Work Preparation, Line Balancing, Maintenance, and other support functions, to optimise industrial systems and processes.
- Manage work orders, prioritise execution, and ensure the availability of necessary resources and documentation.
- Promote and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards on the shop floor.
- Maintain quality standards and support the application of production processes and procedures.
- Provide logistical support, including the prioritization of material pull for rework orders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant technical or engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in a similar shop floor support or production engineering role
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
