A leading mailing services provider are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to develop existing accounts with new innovative services, as well as establish new business accounts.

With autonomy to manage your own region, you will be able to bring your own style to building client relations across key sectors.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the DSA, Direct Mail, Hybrid Mail, Transactional Mail, UK & International Postage, and Print Management sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong working relations with prospective and newly onboarded clients.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of client projects.
  • Serving as a key point of contact, you will maintain regular contact with existing customers to develop spend, frequency of use and profitability for the business (with the support of the sales director).
  • Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of company products and service offerings to deliver the best service.
  • Keep informed on industry trends and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.

The skills and experience required include:

  • A previous sales / business development background within mail services is essential.
  • An understanding of the mail services sector.
  • Ambitious and results-orientated, with a track record of success in a sales role.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly customer focused with an approachable and helpful manner.

PLEASE NOTE: In addition to the base salary advertised, a competitive OTE is achievable.

The role offers flexibility with regards to location and the region you will work within; however, you need to be available to visit the Southwest office twice a month.

The role will require frequent regional travel to meet with new and existing clients, a car / travel allowance will be provided.
