Our client is a leading privately owned Group operating within the Financial & Service sector with group revenues of in excess of £60m generated from a Group of Business across the UK & Ireland.

As part of the companies continued expansion (both organic and via M&A) with plans for IPO within the coming years, FRS have been enlisted on a retained basis to assist with the recruitment of an experienced CFO to join the Group at this exciting time.

Partnering closely with CEO, this vacancy is a key position for the group and will help set the strategic vision, develop financial strategy and provide strong financial leadership to the wider business and existing finance team alongside associated preparations for IPO.

The CFO will be inheriting an established and well run finance team of approx. 20 Staff led by a long term Operational Finance Director.

CFO - Key Responsibilities and Skills:

Financial Strategy: Collaborate with the CEO and other senior executives to develop a financial strategy aligned with the company's goals.

Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reports, compliant with relevant regulations, and aligned with investor expectations.

IPO Preparation:

Financial Preparation: Review and strengthen the company's financial structure, including financial statements, cash flow management, and debt structures.

Team Building: Assemble and train a finance team with expertise in various areas like controllership, FP&A, and investor relations.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards and regulatory requirements, including establishing audit committees and strengthening internal controls.

Capital Raising: Work with investment banks and underwriters to secure financing for the IPO.

Investor Relations: Communicate with investors, provide regular updates, and build trust.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial, legal, and reputational risks associated with the IPO.

Leadership and Management: Strong leadership and management skills are essential to guide the team and oversee the IPO process.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed for interacting with investors, advisors, and stakeholders.

Tailor communication to institutional investors and build trust with a broader audience.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and have at least 5-10 years previous experience gained within a strategic finance leadership position with demonstrated background of delivering growth and improvement.

Due to the existing track record and continued appetite for growth, this position would suit a candidate with a strong record of experience gained of M&A within either a Private, PE / VC Backed Business or PLC.

Previous experience in preparing and or delivering a IPO is also desirable however not essential.

In return this role promises to a varied, fast paced and progressive.

A basic salary of up to £200,000 coupled within exec benefits, Annual Bonus, LTIPS and Equity can be offered for this key position.
