Greenwell Gleeson have been retained to recruit a Finance Director for a highly profitable privately owned group. Operating in the construction and development sector, they have a successful track record to date and are close to securing significant funding which will enable them to accelerate their growth. In this newly created position, as the finance lead you will be responsible for leading a small finance team and take ownership for the preparation for all the internal and external reporting. Most importantly however, you will partner the entrepreneurial MD in helping evaluate and execute strategic options, drive operational performance on existing projects to enhance profitability, manage JV relationships as well as optimising the tax position with the support of the external advisors. Additionally, you will be managing the funder and banking relationships and support any fund raising when necessary. To be successful in the role you will ideally need to demonstrate experience of working in a lead finance role as well as dealing with external stakeholders.
