Planning Solicitor

Flexible Hybrid Working

We are seeking a Planning Solicitor to lead a focused audit project examining the Council's S106 Agreements and associated financial contributions. This project role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on our planning processes and to ensure financial contributions from developments are clearly tracked and optimally used.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake a comprehensive audit of the Council's existing Section 106 Agreements under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
  • Work closely with the Finance Team to reconcile drawn down and unallocated funds.
  • Produce clear, detailed report of findings and opportunities for improved tracking.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure collaborative and accurate data gathering.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEX with a current practising certificate.
  • Demonstrable experience in planning law and ideally familiarity with Section 106 agreements.
  • Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a focused legal project with minimal supervision
