What you'll do:
As a Senior Family Solicitor based in the West Midlands, you will play an integral role within the family law department, ensuring you:
- Confidently manage a busy caseload of private family law matters with a particular focus on divorce proceedings and financial settlements.
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients on all aspects of family law including children matters and financial remedy cases.
- Undertake advocacy work by representing clients in court hearings as required by the role.
- Deliver compassionate and professional client care at every stage of the legal process, ensuring clear communication and support throughout.
- Work collaboratively with fee earners, paralegals, and legal assistants across multiple office locations to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the family law department by sharing insights and helping to develop best practices.
- Meet or exceed agreed fee income targets through effective case management and high-quality service provision.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law affecting private family law practice.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to further enhance your skills and keep abreast of industry developments.
What you bring:
To excel as a Senior Family Solicitor in this role, you will bring:
- A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) specialising in private family law with proven expertise in divorce and financial remedy work.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a varied caseload confidently and independently from inception through to resolution.
- Experience undertaking advocacy work with confidence representing clients during court proceedings.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering compassionate client care at all times.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding fee income targets within a busy legal environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities essential for advising clients clearly and professionally.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current legislation relating to private family law; familiarity with public law matters is advantageous but not essential.
