Our prestigious client, a leading manufacturer in their field, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator / Setter to join their team. With a commitment to operational excellence and producing high-quality products, they are looking for a professional who can ensure the optimal functioning of their manufacturing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to meet production plans and quality standards
- Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of equipment
- Work with maintenance and quality control teams to reduce breakdowns and defects
- Carry out changeovers
- Product washouts
- Material handling
- Monitor quality and report any issues or defects
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Basic mechanical awareness of factory automation principles
- IT skills in machine data and control systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Experience as a machine operator or in manufacturing industry preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials within agreed risk assessment limits
