Section Engineer

Abatec is pleased to be working with a major civil engineering contractor based at Hinkley Pont C in Bridgwater. Abatec's client is looking to recruit a Section or Project Engineer to work on a freelance basis. The contract is heavily weighted towards roads and networks,  This position is programmed to last up to 60 months.

As a Section Engineer you will:

• Keep a record of installed quantities and report these on a daily basis
• Prepare and implement risk assessed work methods and assure these are kept up to date
• Keep a strong grasp on all health and safety related issues throughout the construction process
• Communicate effectively with Design Team, Construction Team, and client throughout the construction process
• Partake in various other tasks relating to the job title

Our client requires a Section Engineer with:

• Experience/design experience in roads / highways and heavy civils works
• Experience with AutoCAD
• A relevant degree in civil engineering or equivalent by experience
• The ability to manage a small team, motivate and inspire
• The ability to demonstrate a good technical understanding of design and engineering within the civil engineering/infrastructure industry

Salary and benefits include:

• A highly competitive rate of pay £500 - £600 per shift (dependent upon experience & uplifts apply for weekend and nightshifts)

• A stable contract which could last up to 18 months
