Maintenance Engineering Team Leader / Senior Maintenance EngineerPermanent PositionSalary: Up to £50,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)Location: Dunball/Wembdon/BridgwaterWorking Hours: Monday to Friday (Early Finish Friday)We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineering Team Leader to join a global manufacturing organisation at their state-of-the-art facility. This is a permanent position offering long-term career development within a stable and growing business.You will lead a team of six maintenance engineers, overseeing all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance, managing the tooling workshop, and introducing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across the site. This is a key role in ensuring the reliability and availability of plant equipment while supporting wider engineering projects and facilities tasks.Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience leading a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment, or a senior maintenance engineer ready to take the next step.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certificate highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:Maintenance Operations:
  • Lead day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring rapid response to breakdowns and minimal downtime.
  • Manage the tooling workshop, ensuring safety, quality, and reliability.
Planned Maintenance & Continuous Improvement:
  • Develop and refine the PPM schedule using CMMS.
  • Track performance data and use it to drive efficiency and reduce unplanned outages.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 6 maintenance professionals.
  • Assign workloads, conduct performance reviews, and support team development.
Performance Management:
  • Define and monitor KPIs relating to equipment availability, maintenance response times, and schedule adherence.
  • Take ownership of service level improvements across the site.
Project Support & TPM Implementation:
  • Support engineering projects, ensuring maintenance considerations are built into plans.
  • Work closely with production teams to implement and embed TPM practices.
