Network IT is currently recruiting for a very interesting client of ours in the Somerset area, who are looking to engage a Risk & Governance Manager on a 12 month initial contract. This role would be a perfect fit for you, if you are able to oversee and optimise effective risk management to enable risks to be appropriately identified, managed, reported and escalated, along with championing risk management across the business. You’ll be engaging with senior stakeholders, and various teams to drive risk management as a priority and advise on the implementation of solid governance policies.   • Expert in Risk Management, championing effective risk management throughout the business
  • Engagement with senior level stakeholders to ensure risk is kept as a priority
  • Able to drive the implementation of solid governance policies to ensure compliance, and also identify where governance is not functioning correctly
  • Providing advice across the business, in relation to best practice for risk management, and governance best practice process, standards and templates
  • Engaging actively with the Audit Risk & Assurance Committee
  • Participate fully in the X-Gov Assurance Network and Risk Assurance Working Group
  • Background in defence, would be highly advantageous
  • SC Clearance / SC Cleared previously would be beneficial
