Process Engineer

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Process Engineer to be engaged on a hybrid basis.

Job Overview:
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Process Engineer to join a forward-thinking team working on some of the most significant energy projects in the UK and Europe, small modular reactor (SMR) development and working towards Poland's first energy station.
You'll play a key role in optimising and documenting complex processes, supporting programme delivery throughout the full project lifecycle. If you're passionate about innovation, collaboration, and high standards in a regulated environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Analyse and optimise business processes across complex projects
• 
  Create clear process flows (e.g., using MS Visio)
• 
  Develop and document procedures and work instructions
• 
  Identify best practices and drive continuous improvement
• 
  Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Engineering Degree, Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND (preferably in STEM fields or other relevant disciplines) - or relevant, demonstrable, experience
• Interpersonal skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders

• 
  Experience in process engineering within complex or regulated industries (nuclear or commissioning experience is a plus)
• 
  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• 
  Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience in the nuclear industry is beneficial but not essential
