Production Shift Manager
Bridgwater
Salary: £up to 60,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 Days/ 2 Nights)

This large Privately owned manufacturing company is currently looking to recruit a Shift Production Manager to join their team.
The Production Shift Manager will be managing production lines and will work alongside 3 further Shift Production Managers, each managing the team on a rotational Shift Pattern
The role reports directly into the Planning and Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
·The role will ensure the completion of the production schedule by allocating resources effectively and making quick decisions to overcome challenges and achieve targets.
·Ensuring quality standards are met combined with ensuring the Health & Safety of the team
·Identify opportunities for improvement within the organization (E.g. improve efficiencies / reduce waste).
·Ensuring continuous improvement takes place and that people are developed to their highest potential.
·You will also be responsible for achieving the department's objectives through KPIs, updating and implementing new procedures and liaising with planning to ensure efficient volume allocation.

Skills / Experience Required
·Proven extensive experience in a production or manufacturing management role with a good understanding of CI principles and Lean manufacturing
·Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
·Experience of people management including performance management, training and development
·A firm commitment to health and safety and continuous improvement methods.
