Job Opportunity: SEN Learning Support Assistant – 22 Hours/Week (Start ASAP)MUST HAVE A DBS ON UDS We are currently recruiting for a SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students at a college in Bridgwater, starting next Tuesday. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with learners who require individual or small-group support in a variety of settings.
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 08:30–16:30
  • Friday: 08:30–16:00(Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day)
�? Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Support students in classrooms, workshops, during breaks/lunchtimes, and on off-site visits.
  • Adapt learning materials and collaborate with teaching staff to provide tailored support.
  • Act as a reader or scribe in exam settings when required.
  • Help modify resources using technology and accessible formats (e.g., enlarging text, simplifying language).
  • Contribute to planning and review meetings, including EHCP and student progress reviews.
  • Maintain accurate records, including ILPs and online registers.
  • Support learners with life skills and independence (e.g., using public transport).
