Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting students who need a fresh start? Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Somerset. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education.
About the Role
- Teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students in a small, supportive setting.
- Deliver English and Maths lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Work closely with a team focused on transitioning students back into mainstream education.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or in alternative provisions is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and ability to build positive relationships.
- A commitment to helping students achieve their potential.
