A fantastic opportunity to join a major contractor delivering an 84million project at Hinkley Point C in Somerset, the first new generation nuclear plant to be built in the UK. Abatec is recruiting an experienced Planner or Senior Planner to join a specialist M&E contractor on a permanent basis.
As P6 Planner or Senior Planner you will have previous experience working for an M&E contractor involved in the design, supply and installation of projects as well as knowledge of an NEC contract environment.
This position will not be based on-site at Hinkley Point C but in Bridgwater (near motorway junction).
As Planner / Senior Planner you will:
- Be responsible for creating programmes from 1st principles, utilising M&E drawings, schedules and specifications.
- Manage programmes from beginning to end, updating and monitoring progress against contract requirements
- Evaluate/Audit subcontractor and supply chain programmes for robustness
- Review change in programmes for impact/delay analysis
Our client requires a Planner / Senior Planner with:
- HNC/Degree or in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Experience working in M&E/Construction/Civil Engineering sectors in the UK
- NEC contract-based planning experience
- Thorough understanding of P6, creating programmes from 1st principles and understanding of project controls
Salary/Benefits:
- 70,000 to 90,000 per annum
- Hybrid working (2-3 days per week
