- Overseeing and managing of the finance team (3 direct reports)
- Provide leadership to the finance team and ensure effective financial accounting & operations
- Provide expert financial insight into the operations of the business to support colleagues
- To coordinate financial systems and controls with the care operations and support teams of the business
- Ensuring timely and reliable monthly management accounts are prepared.
- Preparation of annual budgets and monitoring of financial performance monthly against budgets.
- Managing cashflow of the business and ensuring projections flag any positive or negative variances.
- Reporting to the operating board, flagging up any key areas of concern and opportunities for enhancing profitability.
- Responsible for management information tracking key performance indicators of the business.
- Management of production of year-end statutory accounts.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements including VAT and corporation tax compliance, the CIS scheme and current accounting standards.
- Be a fully qualified accountant – ACA or ACCA ideally
- Have a proven track record in developing and managing a team
- Have excellent communication and strong leadership skills
- Have previous experience of Sage (Desirable)
