Reed Sales & Marketing are incredibly excited to be representing a nationally established Gas & Chemical supplier in their search for a Sales Manager!

Based in East Yorkshire, this is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and successful Sales Specialist to not only increase their earning potentials through an uncapped commissions scheme, but also manage and develop a Sales team of their own.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small sales team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Identify and win new business opportunities within the UK gas and chemical markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers through regular in-person visits and virtual meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Director to set and track sales targets.
  • Work closely with supply chain, marketing, and commercial teams to align sales strategy with operational capabilities and market opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent the client at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within the gas and chemical sector.
  • Experienced in both new business development and account growth.
  • Confident managing and motivating a sales team while actively selling.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the adaptability to seize new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both in person and online.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the UK.
