Role Overview: As the Assistant Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining our asset management, environmental, health and safety policies and programs. Your efforts will ensure compliance with regulations, promote a culture of safety, and foster environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support & Guidance: Assist the Engineering Manager and provide support on asset management and maintenance.
- Coordination: Oversee maintenance engineering schedules and systems.
- Project Supervision: Supervise minor projects and site improvements.
- Data Management: Compile and log spares and maintenance data.
- Safety & Compliance: Liaise with engineers for risk assessments, issue work orders, and maintain high safety standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor EHS regulations, prepare reports, and develop policies.
- Collaboration: Work with teams on risk mitigation strategies and support environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Reporting: Maintain records, ensure data accuracy, and report on progress and objectives.
- Teamwork: Collaborate across departments and trade unions, supporting revenue and EBITDA targets.
