Slitting Machine OperatorElevation Recruitment Group are working with manufacturer in Brigg, North Lincolnshire to recruit a Slitting Machine Operator.
Pay: £13.91ph
Shifts: 4 on/4 off (2 days - 6Am-6PM following by 2 nights - 6PM -6AM).
Average working hours 42pw
Key Responsibilities of the Slitting Machine Operator will include:
- Choose the correct film, materials, and supplies based on job instructions
- Set up the machine safely and efficiently
- Check the product during production to make sure it meets quality standards
- Unload, record, and package products following internal or customer requirements
- Accurately complete production reports using the Mills system for time and product tracking
- Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and safe
- Watch the machine while it’s running and fix small issues when needed
- Report any maintenance issues to help prevent breakdowns
- Rework any products that don’t meet standards, if needed
- Empty waste bins during and after your shift, and keep outside skips covered
- Clear waste and litter from work areas throughout your shift
- Keep the Daily Management boards up to date
- Follow all health and safety rules and regulations
Required Skills:
- Previous experience in operating slitting/ conversion machinery.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
