Production Team LeaderBrigg£33,000 (hourly paid)

Elevation Recruitment are exclusively partnering with a high-performing, well-established FMCG manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to take operational ownership of its Finishing department. This is a critical frontline leadership role, responsible for driving performance, safety, quality, and efficiency across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Team Leader include:

  • Day-to-day leadership of a small team on shift within the Finishing department, ensuring adherence to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Performance (SQDCP) metrics
  • Champion world-class manufacturing standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Ensure shift production output meets customer specifications—internally and externally—while maintaining robust quality controls
  • Collaborate closely with planning, engineering, and despatch teams to align resources with production demands
  • Coach and mentor team members across multiple assets, identifying skills gaps and supporting development
  • Conduct shift handovers, manage labour planning, oversee stock accuracy, and ensure waste reduction targets are met
  • Maintain strong health & safety practices in line with company and regulatory standards

We’re looking for strong leaders with the below skills & experience:

  • Previous experience leading teams in a fast-moving manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Working knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety regulations; IOSH Managing Safely qualification desirable
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools & lean methodologies
  • Competence in using SAP or similar systems for production and stock control
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift-based operational challenges
  • Effective communicator, capable of engaging cross-functional teams and influencing outcomes
  • Adaptability, resilience, and a drive for high performance
