Despatch Operative

TEST AND DESPATCH OPERATIVE

PERMANENT

HUDDERSFIELD/BRIGHOUSE

DAY SHIFT between 6am to 5pm

Due to on-going growth, our client, a large manufacturing business are looking to recruit a well versed despatchoperativeto join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role

The successful despatch operative will have a positive can do attitude and be very much a team player as you will work alongside and with other colleagues in the department. The role will consist of the below, but won't be limited to these.......

• Testing of product for leaks using Hydrostatic, High Pressure and Air under water test rigs
• Inspecting the quality of the product
• Ensure that the product matches customer order details
• Using measure equipment i.e. verniers, callipers, tapes and pressure rigs
• Packing to specification and weighing goods for shipment
• Loading goods onto vehicles

As the successful despatch and test operative you possess

• Basic education and understanding of maths
• Previous working experience in manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of what company manufactures
• Be able to work overtime as required
• Works well as part of a team or on an individual basis
• Methodical and attention to detail
• Quality, Testing or Mechanical Background
• Able to use tape measures, micrometers and verniers
• FLT License
• Able to work in imperial and metric measurement systems
