Conveyancing Assistant – Brighouse | Residential PropertyÂ
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a busy residential property team at a reputable legal practice based in Brighouse. This is a full-time, office-based role, ideal for someone with at least 12 months of hands-on conveyancing experience, particularly in residential sales and purchases.
The role is highly client-focused, requiring a professional, friendly and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be supporting fee earners and solicitors with a high-volume caseload and must be confident in handling administrative tasks from file opening through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Opening new client files and accurately inputting details into the case management system
- Preparing initial correspondence, legal documentation, and issuing contracts on sale files
- Progressing transactions in line with internal procedures
- Ordering property searches and preparing reports to clients
- Supporting with exchange of contracts, completions and post-completion work
- Handling telephone and email enquiries from clients, estate agents and solicitors
- Managing incoming and outgoing post
- Assisting with general office administration including filing, billing and archiving
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in a conveyancing assistant role, particularly in sales and purchase
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
- Competent IT user with accurate keyboard skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload in a deadline-driven environment
- Friendly, professional and client-service oriented
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, proactive and willing to take initiative
