Financial AccountantJoin our finance team as a Financial Accountant, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting strategic decision-making. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is committed to producing accurate financial statements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with VAT returns and corporation tax filings.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate financial data.
  • Monitor and improve internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis and commentary to support business performance reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or working towards qualification).
  • Proven experience in a financial accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in a multinational or complex business environment.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and financial compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
