TPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a growing and well-respected firm of accountants with multiple offices across Sussex, in their search for a Part-Time Junior Bookkeeper to join their dynamic outsourcing team based in Brighton.

About the Role

As part of the outsourcing team—which includes bookkeepers, management accountants, and payroll administrators—you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to clients. The work you do will form the foundation of everything they delivers.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping for a diverse client base using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and ClearBooks

  • Managing client relationships and supporting them with software and bookkeeping queries

  • Completing bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, and other entries up to trial balance

  • Preparing and submitting VAT and CIS returns

  • Ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales

  • Preparing schedules and reports as needed

RequirementsAbout You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has well-rounded bookkeeping knowledge

  • Is experienced with cloud-based accounting software

  • Can work independently and manage their own workload

  • Is detail-oriented with excellent time management skills

  • Delivers outstanding customer service

  • Is proactive and a strong team player

  • Has experience in an accountancy practice (preferred)
