Our client, partnering with a Strategic Delivery Partner on the Southern Water AMP8 Infrastructure Framework, is currently seeking a Civils Design Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role is vital for delivering major water infrastructure projects across the Southern Water region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the design delivery of critical infrastructure schemes from concept through to delivery
- Managing multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met
- Ensuring compliance with technical standards, budget, and programme requirements
- Overseeing the production of design documentation
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
- Providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil engineering, specifically within the water sector
- Strong knowledge of civil design principles and relevant software
- Proficiency in managing multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of project management processes and technical standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid/flexible working environment
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
