A new opening has become available for a skilled Bookkeeper to join a thriving and expanding accounting practice situated in Brighton.This position is ideal for an individual who excels in a fast-paced setting and is enthusiastic about delivering exceptional bookkeeping solutions to a diverse range of clients.As part of a welcoming and collaborative outsourced finance team, the chosen applicant will be instrumental in managing precise financial data and assisting clients with their bookkeeping and VAT obligations.Key Duties:
  • Handling daily bookkeeping activities for a client portfolio using cloud-based tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and ClearBooks
  • Compiling management accounts and trial balances, including tasks such as reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals
  • Completing VAT and CIS filings in accordance with statutory deadlines
  • Serving as the initial point of contact for client enquiries, offering top-quality assistance and guidance
  • Helping clients navigate bookkeeping software and resolve related challenges
  • Delivering high-quality work within designated timeframes
Who We’re Looking For:
  • Solid bookkeeping background – preferably gained within a professional accountancy environment
  • Thorough understanding of digital accounting platforms
  • Comfortable managing VAT-related issues
  • Excellent planning and timekeeping abilities
  • Approachable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
