International Business Development Executive

Salary: £75,000 - £100,000 per annum will be offered depending on skills and experience

Brighton College International is seeking to appoint an International Business Development Executive to start in January 2026.
Brighton College International (BCI) is part of the Brighton College family of schools, one of the world’s leading independent schools. Our mission is to expand this reputation for academic excellence and innovation across the globe by developing a family of outstanding international schools. Currently, Brighton Colleges exist in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bangkok, Bangkok Vibhavadi, Brighton, Dubai, Handcross, Hanoi, Hove, London and Singapore, with four new schools to be announced shortly (three in Europe and one in Asia).
We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Business Development Executive to help drive our international growth. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in identifying, securing, and supporting new partnerships that will shape the future of Brighton College worldwide. You will be at the forefront of expanding one of the UK’s most prestigious education brands into new global markets. A willingness and enthusiasm for extensive international travel is essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The International Business Development Executive will be responsible for:
- Work with the CEO to drive the growth of new international schools by identifying and developing partnerships in key global markets.
- Manage and grow a strong pipeline of prospective partners, from first enquiry through to agreement.
- Represent Brighton College when undertaking overseas visits to meet with prospective partners, international / UK conferences and events.
- Support in the marketing of Brighton College International as the school group of choice for prospective partners.
- Undertake market research to identify opportunities and provide commercial insights on new territories including performing due diligence on new potential partners.
- Support the opening of new schools, working with senior colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure successful launches.
- Build strong networks with international investors, consultants, and government bodies.
- Be a part of the BCI Leadership Team.
- Any other reasonable management request.
Person Specification
- Experienced in mergers and acquisitions, investor relations / partnerships, or a similar commercial role with transferable skills (education sector experience is welcome but certainly not essential).
- A global outlook.
- A genuine interest in working within an education setting.
- Strategic and commercially minded, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Confident in managing relationships with senior stakeholders across different cultures and sectors.
- Proactive, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
- The ability to develop and foster teamwork.
- Creative and innovative with an eye for detail and a determination to see tasks through from beginning to end.
- Strong IT proficiency especially in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
Hours of Work
As a senior post-holder, there is a requirement for flexibility for hours worked as and when required, including on weekends from time to time.
