Civils Estimator

FBR Construction Recruitment Limited are seeking a qualified Civils Estimator for a long standing, valued client who arecurrently operating on Commercial Projects for Clients such as British Airways at Heathrow [5year framework renewed January 2024] / BHAFC Amex Various / Southern Water treatment plants.

They arealso Tendering on various Housing Projects all local both traditional housing and RC Frames.

Civils Estimator

The estimating role is as tabled below:

Duties and responsibilities within the role will include:

• Contribution to the generation of tenders, proposing costs and estimate resources for Commercial & Housing projects
• Take full control of the Tender Enquiry be Self-motivated.
• Participation in the winning of contracts while minimising risk and maximising profit by estimating the costs for tenders, negotiating with suppliers [through our Purchase manager] and subcontracts, and supporting value engineering.
• Contribute to the process of preparing, validating, adjudication, and final submission of tenders. This includes minimising any subcontractor and material costs, communicating with external design, planning, commercial and Adenstar Management.
• Estimate costs in order to meet or exceed customer requirements, including obtaining and negotiating quotes all assisted & accompanied by Adenstar Management team.
• Build and retain commercial relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors during the tender and fulfilment process.
• Generate new leads for further Tender Enquiries.

Theapplicant will have civils estimating experience of schemes & be based in our clients Office located near Portslade.

Applicants are expected to have the following skills and attributes:

• You will be experienced with good technical civil engineering knowledge.
• Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards
• Excellent research, proposal writing and oral presentation skills
• Experience in a similar role
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Ude of Conquest Estimating IT or similar
• Use of Microsoft Office applications & Excel
• Confident and positive
• Committed and enthusiastic
• Accurate and timely provision of information
• UK Driving License

Package: Pending on capability / experience

• Car Allowance per Annum 6,000
