Role: Senior Cyber Security & Network Project Engineer
Location: Hybrid in Brighton (1 day on site + travel to customer sites)
Salary: £70k - £100k + Benefits (Travel expenses included)
Job Type: Permanent
In this position, you will play a key role in the Project Engineering team, being a time-served engineer with extensive experience and a subject matter expert in the Network and Security fields. They want someone that is able to dive deep into designing, delivering and resolving complex technical issues, work on managing, maintaining and bettering the services we deliver and work with peers to mentor and develop team skillsets.
Senior Cyber Security & Network Project Engineer Key Skills Required:
- Proven experience in a senior, customer-facing technical role within an MSP environment
- Deep expertise in at least one of the following security solutions: Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including Network Access Control, routing, switching, and cybersecurity best practices
- Hands-on delivery experience with SD-WAN deployments
- Solid grasp of security architecture concepts and modern frameworks such as Zero Trust, IAM, and SASE
Desirable Skills:
- Industry certifications (e.g., vendor-specific or general security credentials) highly beneficial
- Familiarity with wider vendor ecosystems including Aruba/HPE, Meraki, Juniper, Ruckus, Arista, and Extreme Networks
- Exposure to SASE platforms, cloud networking, and infrastructure technologies
- Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Python, Ansible, or IaC frameworks
- Understanding of SDN/SDA environments and virtualised infrastructure (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, UCS, QNAP)
- Awareness of the security incident lifecycle, including threat detection, response, and forensic analysis
