Assistant Acoustic Consultant

Location: Brighton, United Kingdom

The Role

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be representing a leading environmental consultancy seeking a graduate-level Assistant Consultant to join their Noise, Acoustics & Vibration team.

You will support projects across the built environment and infrastructure sectors, with responsibilities including:

  • Field noise and vibration surveys.

  • Data handling, analysis, and reporting.

  • Environmental and building acoustics assessments.

  • Acoustic modelling (SoundPLAN, CadnaA, NoiseMap, Odeon, Insul).

  • Developing noise and vibration mitigation measures.



About You

  • Degree in Acoustics, Environmental/Engineering discipline (with acoustics focus).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage deadlines.

  • Full, clean UK driving licence.

Desirable: Experience with modelling software, AutoCAD, or GIS packages.
