Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant
Location: Remote (UK-wide)
Salary: 50,000 - 65,000 + Benefits
A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its growing UK team. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a senior professional with proven expertise in EIA air quality assessment, dispersion modelling, and technical leadership.
As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will lead complex air quality projects across infrastructure, planning, and industrial sectors - taking ownership of project delivery, client relationships, and quality assurance. You will play a key role in mentoring junior consultants, supporting business development, and shaping the company's growing air quality division.

Duties for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant include:
Leading and managing air quality assessments and EIA chapters
Overseeing dispersion modelling using ADMS and AERMOD
Reviewing and quality-assuring technical deliverables
Liaising with clients, regulators, and local authorities
Preparing proposals and contributing to business growth
Mentoring junior consultants and supporting team development
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulation
Proven track record delivering EIA air quality assessments
Strong knowledge of IAQM/EPUK guidance and environmental legislation
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Geography
Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) or working towards
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence
