Immigration Solicitor – Exciting Opportunity in Brighton & Hove

Are you an ambitious and dedicated Immigration Solicitor looking to make your mark in a newly established private immigration team? Whether you're newly qualified or have 1–3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in a supportive and innovative firm.

The Role

This dynamic role involves managing a range of personal and business immigration cases, including UK work and study visas (spousal, family, skilled worker, graduate, tourism, business, and settlement visas), applications for indefinite leave to remain, family reunification, sponsorship licences, visa appeals and general immigration advice. Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll manage your own caseload while being supported by an experienced team and guided by leadership to consolidate immigration services across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling a variety of personal and business immigration matters with precision.
  • Taking an active role in the firm’s business development through blog contributions, networking and fostering relationships with legal professionals and clients in Sussex and London
  • Ensuring efficient file management and maintaining excellent communication with clients and stakeholders

About You

  • Be registered on the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales with the Solicitors Regulation Authority
  • Possess strong knowledge of Immigration Rules, Immigration Acts, Home Office policies and procedures, and e-litigation systems
  • Have a solid understanding of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), particularly Articles 8 and 3, along with British citizenship requirements, EU law, and post-Brexit implications
  • Demonstrate exceptional client-handling and negotiation skills, cultural sensitivity and the ability to provide empathetic yet professional advice
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently
