Senior Architect Job in Brighton, East Sussex

Senior Architect Job in Brighton, East Sussex joining an award-winning architectural practice renowned for its creative, people-centred approach and sector expertise in education, healthcare, commercial, and later-living design. This is a great opportunity to lead education projects at a company that's shaping spaces for future generations.

This employee-owned practice has around 50 professionals across its two offices. With a focus on thoughtful, inclusive, and sustainable design, they've built a reputation for delivering innovative environments that enhance lives. As the practice continues to expand, they are now seeking a Senior Architect to work on its retirement living and leisure projects across the South, from concept through to completion.



Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and management of education projects, collaborating with the wider design and technical team
  • Report directly to the Project Director ensuring design integrity and project quality across all stages
  • Manage and mentor a team of architects and designers, encouraging professional development
  • Build and maintain client relationships, coordinating with contractors and consultants for successful delivery
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the education sector
  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes.


Required Skills & Experience

  • ARB registered Architect with 5+ years' UK experience post Part III qualification
  • Proven experience leading projects from concept to completion
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, and sector standards
  • Ability to lead teams of architects, technologists, and assistants effectively
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with clients and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
