Overview
We are seeking a experienced Envelope Manager that has proven track record of delivering a variety of envelope systems for roofs (pitched and flat) and facades (brick-slips, curtain walling, render, traditional brickwork, fire protection and temporary works). This residential project is built across 3 phased blocks which will all be within your remit.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the design team, understanding design detailing issues and be able to contribute to finding solutions to issues as they arise.
- Provide input into the design and manage the installation of temporary works which include scaffolding, barrier & fall protection and hoarding systems.
- Coordinate and direct multiple key contractors.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections to assess conformance of materials and with design detail along with ensuring work is being carried out in line with Method Statements.
- Ensure fire segregation is installed inline with current fire regulations.
- Chair Daily Activity Briefings (DABs)
- Chair programme meetings with your contractors to monitor progress against the programme.
- Record and manage Quality Assurance
- Read design drawings and specifications.
- Health & safety on site including inductions, reviewing & amending RAMS, inspections, issuing permits to work and issuing non-conformance notices.
- Use the online Information Management System.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Envelope Manager within a modular construction setting and working knowledge of SFS structures.
- Up to date knowledge of building regulations with regards to cladding systems and fire safety.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Working with design teams.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
