We are recruiting for a temporary Housing Officer for 2-3 months, working for a company based in Brighton. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm and paying a salary of £13-£14 per hour. This role offers flexible/hybrid working; however, you may be required to do block inspections in Eastbourne/Hastings, therefore you must drive and have your own vehicle.

Duties will include:

  • Attending property visits and ensuring all issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
  • Ensuring tenants understand and comply with terms of their tenancy agreement
  • Managing anti-social behaviour cases and liaising with external services if required
  • Advertising voids, assessing new applicants, and arranging void works to ensure performance standards are met
  • Managing tenancy matters such as serving notices and attending court hearings if required
  • Keeping communal areas and estates clean and tidy and liaising with external contractors and the Health & Safety Manager if required

To be successful, you must be a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills. You must have previous experience of Housing and Tenancy Management, as well as strong understanding of voids/lettings process and knowledge of estate inspections and working within repairs.
