This vital role focusses on supporting the emotional, social, and behavioural needs of their students, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and empowered to thrive both academically and personally.Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to students facing challenges in their personal or academic lives.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote student well-being and positive behaviour.
- Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to coordinate effective support plans.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and interventions with students.
- Monitor and track student progress in relation to pastoral care goals.
- Promote inclusion and celebrate diversity within the school community.
Skills and Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Experience in a pastoral, counselling, or similar role within a school setting.
