Carbon60 is seeking a skilled Aerostructure Cost Engineer to join their clients dynamic team based in Filton. As an Aerostructure Cost Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's cost-effectiveness initiatives across various Airbus programs.

The Aerostructure Cost Engineer will be responsible for producing accurate recurring and non-recurring cost estimates for the A220 Design to Cost projects, enabling the company to make informed business decisions. This role will also involve supporting cost modelling, specifically for Composites manufacturing processes, and participating in Design to Cost workshops to provide key recommendations for cost-effective solutions.

This is a contract position until October 2026, with both PAYE and Umbrella rates available. There is hybrid working available with this position but this will be once the successful candidate is settled into the role.

Key Responsibilities of the Aerostructure Cost Engineer:


- Produce recurring and non-recurring cost estimates for A220 Design to Cost projects
- Support cost modelling, particularly for Composites manufacturing processes
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and neutrality of the costing procedure and results
- Lead cost engineering discussions with the company's suppliers
- Participate in Design to Cost workshops and provide recommendations to stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills:


- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Manufacturing and/or Engineering experience
- Knowledge of non-recurring impacts when industrialising product changes
- Ability to understand and explain design, manufacturing, and costing details
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels
- Fluency in English is required, with additional languages viewed positively
