We're working with a well-established financial services business in Bristol seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support the senior leadership team through a busy period of quarterly reporting, year-end, and budgeting. This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a high-performing team of three Management Accountants (2 qualified, 1 part-qualified).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting, controls, and validation of financial data
- Lead and support the team through quarter-end and year-end close
- Drive accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and budgeting
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of key outputs
- Provide oversight on tax-related matters (a small but important part of the role)
What We're Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a financial services environment (insurance experience is desirable)
- Strong technical reporting and controls background
- Diligent, detail-oriented, and confident in validating financial data
- Available to start in early September 2025
