Summary

A new role has opened for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join a detail-orientated accounts team for a specialist retail business. The role is being offered on a permanent basis, full-time onsite from their Bristol office. The office is close to transport links.

They are looking for an individual with great communication and organizational skills with a at least 2 years' experience accounting experience, and AAT Qualified. You'll be supporting the lead Accountant with reconciliations, purchase ledgers, and producing records.

The Company

The business are within the luxury retail space with a 50+ year history. The company has continued to grow and diversify to stay up to date with economic changes as providing a reliable and high quality service to customers has always been at the forefront of their mission.

You will be joining a team of Accounts Assistants and reporting into the Lead Accountant. Your role will be key to continuing the smooth running of this luxury business.

The Role

The ideal candidate with have strong communication and numeracy skills, and ready to deputize for the Lead Accountant in their absence. Responsibilities will include:

  • Handle the collation and submission of payroll data
  • Maintain and reconcile nominal, sales and purchase ledgers
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management and annually audited accounts
  • Review company profit reports to ensure accuracy
  • Work alongside your junior team members to ensure deadlines are met and to high standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 Years Experience
  • AAT Qualified
  • Kerridge Software is a must!
