Juice Recruitment is delighted to be working with a reputable and expanding business in the finance sector, who are looking for a driven and detail-focused Assistant Accountant to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone keen to develop their skills in a practice environment, gain broad exposure to accounting processes, and progress their career.

DAY TO DAY:

  • Support with the preparation of year-end accounts for a variety of business types.
  • Assist in producing basic calculations for both business and personal taxation.
  • Compile and submit VAT reports for clients across different industries.
  • Carry out reconciliations for bank accounts and other ledgers.
  • Provide input towards the preparation of monthly returns.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to gather required information and offer basic assistance.

WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:

  • Experience in an accountancy or finance role, ideally within a practice environment.
  • Experience in accounts preparation and exposure to management accounting duties.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software.
  • Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear communicator with a proactive and professional approach.
